This Uganda and Rwanda Safari explores the best of the two gorilla safari countries with white water rafting in Uganda and wildlife tours.

Jinja

There are a number of activities to do in Jinja including evening sundowners on the river on the original African Queen OR visit the source of the Nile which is the longest river in Africa. You have an opportunity of choosing from a variety of adventure activities including white water rafting, jetboat, quad bikes or horseback safari among others.

Semliki National Park

Semuliki harbours an abundance of lowland forest wildlife and bird species found in the Congo Basin, including over 300 butterflies and 235 moths. It is of particular interest to birders, with 435 species recorded, including over 40 found nowhere else in Uganda. As for mammals, the park is resident to a small collection including the unusual water chevrotain – a type of ancient ungulate. It is also home to elephant, bush pig, buffalo, sitatunga, hippo and crocodile, as well as eight diurnal primate species including the Chimpanzee.
This will be the day in the pygmy villages located near the Ituri Rainforest. The visit to the villages has proven to be an appealing cultural experience. You take a tour to the Hot Springs or you will visit the Pygmies. Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your lodge.

Kibale Forest National Park

While here, go for an early morning chimpanzee tracking in the forest and experience the excitement of the sight of a lot of chimpanzees and other animals like the forest elephants, buffaloes, leopards, bush pig and duiker, lions, warthogs, reptiles and amphibians as well as a colorful variety of butterflies.

Queen Elizabeth National Park

With beautiful lakes and rich grasslands which are set deep in the crater valley. The park is a home to a variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, hippos, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, baboons and birds all typical riverrine savannah habitats and the famous Kazinga Channel. In the Southern Parts is the Ishasha sector with the tree climbing lions and the Maramagambo forest, one of the largest surviving natural forests in Uganda. The Northern part is traversed by the equator and is dominated by the scenery of crater lakes with lots of flamingos
